Answers about scheduling, eligibility, insurance, services, and what to expect.

How do I schedule a consultation?

Use the Schedule a Consultation button to send a message through the contact form. Dr. Lewis will respond within 1–2 business days to find a time that works for you.

Who is eligible to work with you?

Dr. Lewis provides individual, couples, and family counseling to adults and adolescents in New Jersey. Virtual sessions are available only to clients located in New Jersey. She also offers mentorship, workshops, and speaking engagements for emerging professionals and organizations.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is a consultation to understand your needs, answer questions, and explore whether the practice is a good fit. There is no pressure to commit; the goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and heard.

Do you accept insurance?

Dr. Lewis is in-network with Aetna, Cigna, AmeriHealth, Independence Blue Cross/AmeriHealth, United Behavioral Health/US Behavioral Health Plan, California/LifeEra, Inc., and Carelon Behavioral Health, Inc. We accept the World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP) for certified 9/11-related conditions via the National Program Administrator network administered by Sedgwick. Self-pay clients are also welcome, and a superbill can be provided for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

How much do sessions, mentorship, or speaking engagements cost?

Fees vary depending on the service. Please contact Dr. Lewis directly for current rates for therapy sessions, mentorship, and speaking or workshop engagements. A Good Faith Estimate is available upon request for self-pay therapy services.

What is the difference between therapy and mentorship?

Therapy is clinical care for mental health concerns and is only available to clients in New Jersey. Mentorship is professional guidance for graduate students and early-career clinicians and is not clinical supervision or therapy.

Do you offer in-person and virtual sessions?

Yes. In-person sessions are available at the Florham Park, New Jersey office. Telehealth sessions are available for clients located anywhere in New Jersey. Hybrid scheduling is offered when clinically appropriate.

What does spiritual integration mean in your work?

Spiritual integration means honoring the role of faith, meaning, purpose, and cultural identity in the healing process. Dr. Lewis works with clients across spiritual and religious backgrounds in a way that is respectful, non-judgmental, and aligned with your values.

How can I invite Dr. Lewis to speak or facilitate a workshop?
